Just finished watching Brazil/Chile. I called it as soon as it went 1-1, which pisses me off. Teams you want to win in a shootout seem to lose way more often than not. Brazil looked shit when Chile didn't sit back, a good balanced side is going to bump Brazil. Now to watch Colombia/Uruguay  <3 *edit* Colombian chicks. |

Was still a dumb challenge by the Mexican. Almost had the perfect game, had Dos Santos first score, first score shot outside the box, 1-1, Draw/Draw, Draw Happy Netherlands went through though, i was packing myself the whole game. Woohoo Costa Rica too, i really wanted them to win! And they definitely deserved to win the shootout, which is a nice change. |

Yeh i was of the thought either Mexico or Netherlands would almost walk through the quarter, i'm still mostly of that opinion.
Hope de Jong is OK for the Netherlands though, they seem to miss him a lot with Blind covering and Martins Indi being overall fairly average IMO.
Hope Nigeria make it a good game against France, i am not expecting much from Algeria against Germany.....but they have already somewhat surprised me this cup so good for them.

Damn I was hoping Algeria would get the job done Looks like it could be the end of the road for France, but ya never know. Algeria seemed to open them up a bit for long periods of the match One more night left, then a couple of good night sleeps before the next round haha |

USA are a decent chance to upset Belgium, i'm thinking maybe in a shootout.....hoping the Swiss do well also but i am expecting Argentina to get it 1-0/2-0. |

This can be the new thread. Went to Newcastle raping Sydney last night, was a prety pathetic effort from Sydney with some serious school boy errors, but it was fun to see Newcastle play. Anyone going to the other games/the double header? Think the Phoenix will put up a reasonable effort against West Ham tonight, most likely lose but surely better than Sydney. God the only beer they sold was Carlsberg also Luckily i was already tanked on Flame.... |
