I haven't watched much NBA this year but man the 76ers have an exciting future! I know it's only Bogut and Lopez, but Embiid is almost unstoppable. If Simmons can develop a jumper then wow!
Feel a bit for Lonzo, hes getting good open looks and its just not going down for him

FIBA, the International Basketball Federation, on Tuesday announced it has signed a five-year agreement with Māori Television for the period 2017-2021. New Zealand's indigenous broadcaster will have exclusive live rights to broadcast FIBA national team competitions featuring the Tall Blacks, Tall Ferns and juniors, with commentary options provided in te reo Māori and English. The deal includes the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Qualifiers, the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2018, the FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2019, the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019, the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifiers and the FIBA Asia Cup 2021. The Semi-Finals and Final from all tournaments will be available to view free-to-air, irrespective of the national teams competing. The announcement comes as the Tall Blacks tip off the Road to China 2019 by hosting Korea on Thursday at Wellington's TSB Arena. 2018 will also see the Tall Blacks compete against Hong Kong and China, both home and away to complete Round 1 of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Qualifiers. This week's game will be livestreamed through www.maoritelevision.com and also on Māori Television (Sky Channel 19 and Freeview 5) from 7pm. For the full schedule of game coverage go to www.maoritelevision.com/tv/shows/fiba-world-cup-qualifiers.

NICE! I looked to see if Sky had it but just rolled my eyes.
This OKC/Warriors game is awesome (especially for a 20 point game, but you know the Warriors are always in it) Westbrook and Durant going off at each other and a great atmosphere <3

Hah yeah, just don't turn this into another Steven Adams rant (not that he could have possibly played in this, but these idiots find any excuse).

I can't believe Lebron is shooting 43% from 3 this season!

Nets trade for Okafor. Nice little roster of potential that Marks is putting together.

I saw the headline on newshub "Adams guides Thunder to sixth straight win" and then smiled at thought of you guys, and also smiled at the image of Steve Adams dominating the time out talk and pointing where Westbrook, George and Anthony all need to be so he can control the game from there.

Harden choking lately is good for us holding onto 1 final Lebron MVP! Would equal Jordan with one more #imjustsaying

With this latest Harden injury I think it's LeBron's to lose (assuming health of course) which is pretty awesome at 33.
Also for selfish purposes I got him at $5 after he dropped 57 on the Wizards so I'm riding him home anyway.

Breakers have supposedly signed former Pacer Rakeem Christmas, although they're denying it..

Rakeem Christmas, that's Key and Peele East v West quality right there.

Rakeem Christmas is a handful. 10 points in the first quarter. Too bad the guards love to just dribble around the perimeter and not get the ball down low.

I really can't stand the whole conversation around All-Stars, every half-decent player thinks they got 'snubbed' and the whole thought process around who should be an all-star is pretty fucked IMO (if I hear 'winning matters' one more time...).
I feel bad for Love. It's interesting timing for me watching this unfold as I'm currently in the middle of the LeBron book where they're going through all their issues during the 2016 season, and there's quite a lot of parallels (Love struggling to fit in, James sulking a bit etc).

Haha I read a "Adams snubbed for All Star game" article on Newshub.
"the 24-year-old was beaten out by resurgent Spurs big LaMarcus Aldridge, Warriors lynchpin Draymond Green, and 2015/16 Rookie of the Year Karl-Anthony Towns."
Yeah who the fuck are any of those guys? Bet they've never played rugby before!
And then oh but he leads the league in offensive rebounds! And is third in FG%!

Haha yeah, it's ridiculous. I was heartened to see a fair few people shitting on them in the comments (which I braved on stuff) though. I really can't stand the whole conversation around All-Stars, every half-decent player thinks they got 'snubbed' and the whole thought process around who should be an all-star is pretty fucked IMO (if I hear 'winning matters' one more time...). Yeah you can't select everyone, and there is always going to be some that miss out.....and no matter what process you use people are going to moan. Do I think there were some unworthy All Stars? Hell yes! Does it matter? Hell no! *shrug*

Haha you guys crack me up and remind me of myself. It's funny (and kind of sad) how he gets like 5 offensive rebounds and only 3 defensive rebounds a game. 3 defensive rebounds for a starting Center is pretty shit. He's only swallowing up those offensive rebounds cause he's not getting the ball so just rolls to the hoop waiting to scoop up a brick.
JR what LeBron book are you reading??
Also it's looking mighty likely the Cavs won't be making the Finals, let alone challenging GSW. What a shambles that has turned into. LeBron just hooked up too many of his guys. JR and Tristan have been mediocre since they signed their big deals. Pretty sad how it'll all end for him in Cleveland. Onto the Spurs next year? (Or Rockets? Or...76ers??)

Wow, even Carmelo gets more defensive rebounds than Adams . Yeah and Russ basically admitted that Adams on the offensive boards means they can chuck up any shot they want. I'm reading Windhorst and McMenamin's book, Return of the King.

5 offensive boards a game is still very impressive, but it's not the kind of stat that's going to get you into the no defence and all alley oop all star game.

Fuck this. Like, I get it. I get why they did it, but I don't get why they did it NOW......when we are actually threatening to make the playoffs.
They had that little faith in him getting injured again before the end of the season I guess.
Long term this is likely the right move, but it's hard to not be disappointed as fuck right now.
*sigh*
<3 NBA though.

It's that time of the year!
- Thomas, Frye, protected 1st (not Nets pick) for Clarkson and Nance Jr
- Shumpert to the Kings and Crowder and Rose to the Jazz for Rodney Hood (from Jazz) and George Hill (from Kings)
- Wade to the Heat for a heavily protected 2nd round pick

Think the Cavs have done really well out of this one, they pretty much covered all their bases for the future either way AND kept the Brooklyn pick. They do need a rim protector but if the Brook Lopez rumours are true things will get real fast.
Obviously they need to communicate and gel for it to work this season with such little time before the playoffs, but the younger more hungry role type players (esp on defence) for what was closer to 0 value to the team (aside from their 1st rounder) is a great result.

All Star Weekend has been pretty trash thus far.
Rising Stars was a blowout, 3 point shootout was a boring low scoring affair till the final which I was already too bored to care about and the dunk contest was average (like most times).
Skills was OK but it's hard to fuck that up (when they actually are running down the court trying).
I think they need to shake it up and add in some other novelty events to make All Star Saturday work, can we please have h-o-r-s-e......PLEASE.
ASG tomorrow better be good.
